Bud Sharpe opens Southern Photo on Liberty Street, offering blueprinting services to the architects, engineers and contractors of Winston Salem. Western Electric was the largest client of Southern Photo.

Southern Photo Company changes its name to The Sharpe Company. Bud Sharpe’s oldest son Greg, takes over and starts selling drafting supplies and furniture to complement blueprinting services.
