The Hooker Furnishings Showplace Showroom History Wall showcases various images from 1924, when the plant first opened to 2024 for Hooker’s 100 year anniversary. We used just about as many elements as you can use in one project. The total wall is 40′ wide by 15′ tall. 1/2″ Sintra is for the base material, a custom built 2’x6′ wooden frame is attached to the wall to create a cavity to house the TV and electrical, an 86″ 4k TV mounted to the wall with a cantilever mount. 3M vinyl is the background graphics and wood grain elements. Lit 1/2″ Acrylic panels 48″x108″ showcase the first CEO and current CEO. 1/2″ Sintra also makes up the header and footer boxes that hold the LED light bars that support the acrylic panels. 3mm brushed gold ACM is the dimensional logo on the wood grain column. The pictures are printed on 3/16″ WBB ultraboard, applied on top of the background graphic, to give dimension and black cut vinyl is applied under each image for picture descriptions.

Sunbelt wanted to create a space for their junior achievement room. The ping pong holders consist of three parts. what holds the ping pongs is a thick acrylic tube that is open on the top and bottom. What holds the acrylic tube is 1/2″ PVC. The top and bottom have a small holes big enough to put the ping pongs in and take them out. The last piece is a teardrop door that swings left and right that prevents the balls to fall out until used.

Cushman & Wakefield asked for a lenticular wall to be showcased in their corporate office in Charlotte. Long strips of sinta is cut and angled at 45 degrees against another piece of sintra to create the 45 degree valleys. Then the two different images are printed on vinyl and attached to each valley to create the illusion of the lenticular wall.

Lee wanted a timeline along their walls that highlighted key moments in their company’s history. The timeline began in the 1900’s and end in the 2020’s. The timeline itself is made from brushed gold ACM routed out to show each decade. The shadow boxes are hand crafted out of wood with an acrylic face to protect each piece of memorabilia. There is also foam board and PVC used throughout to create bases and to add dimension. The descriptions of each memorabilia piece and images of said memorabilia mentioned in said year are printed on foamboard. All throughout also lays the physical pieces from history.

Ally Financial wanted specialty walls throughout their corporate center in Charlotte. All the walls are covered in Terralon Dreamscape wallpaper. Over the wallpaper, 3-D pieces are placed throughout. These 3D pieces include power cords following the circles, calculators covering walls, a circular, bronze thermostat camouflaged into the design and acrylic triangles placed throughout a wall.

Wrangler needed specialty display stands for their New York showroom. The stands with the posts are handmade using select pine and wooden dowels. Then the Wrangler name is printed in black cut vinyl and placed along the front of the stands.

Poppyseed Provisions wanted a bar sign for “REAL ID” where it shows the date and time you should be born in order to be 21 (legal to drink). This sign is a halo lit sign that shows their logo and underneath is a digital sign that displays the month, day, year of the youngest someone could be to buy a drink as well as the time.

Truliant wanted this sign to decorate their lunch area in one of the Winston Salem locations. It was produced using 1″ Sintra PVC for the sign base. Vinyl was then applied to the Sintra for the graphics and then we routed out the holes to receive light bulb receptacles so the sign could light up.
